A thank you for your purchase note from Doodlenab with a sketch of Aiba and Tama's eyeball forms - Aiba (the teddy bear looking one) has her arms raised and is jumping, Tama (the human female looking one) has her hands to her cheeks and is looking down slightly. This is the nicest thing I have ever received alongside a purchase! <3 Two stickers adorn the back of a laptop screen. One is of Aiba's eyeball form and one is of Tama's eyeball form from AI: Somnium Files. both stickers are square and pink bordered, while the background is lighter pink. Each character features an eyeball as its head - one looks kind of like a translucent teddy bear with a yellow eye, the other has a more human female form, also translucent, with a red eye.

Good news: The Shell Part 3 is out! The game I've been waiting rabidly for ever since I finished part 2!

Bad news: I'm neck-deep into Higurashi and cannot dive right in immediately! 😆

I definitely know what I'm playing as soon as I finish with Higurashi, though. Very excited for this one!

My gaming tierlist of games I played this year. Honestly I played a lot of really great games in 2024, and I try not to waste too much time playing things I'm not really into (hence the minimal low-ranked games) - life is too short! Here's to a 2025 that's just as good for games. 🥂

My husband is a non-traditional gift wrapper, but he has fun with it. 🤣 (this was a Danganronpa colouring book, so NOT porn, lol.)

XBOX - A Plague Tale: Innocence (and its sequel). Phenomenal story and experience.
PS - Caligula Effect (1 & 2). Weird lil games that broke my JRPG seal!
Switch - Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which kept me sane through the early days of the pandemic.

Practice holiday baking! Chocolate chip shortbread and Fillo pastry cheesecake with an embedded apple rose. That cheesecake was WORK and I have not perfected it lmao! 😅 God it looks pretty, and you can't tell it didn't quite fully set from the photo. 🫠
A round of chocolate chip shortbread, deliciously lightly browned, cut into 12 wedges. A complicated and too much work tart that consists of a fillo pastry shell with so many flaky layers, and crumpled and layered fills pastry spiraled inside the tart. Cheesecake filling was (over)poured on top of the spiral, and then finely sliced apple slices were placed around the tart in the shape of a rose. It is dusted with powdered sugar and you can't tell from the photo but the cheesecake didn't quite set enough so it is very goopy. I am reevaluating my Christmas dessert contribution lmao

Oysters have to be cooked (no raw please!) and olives I technically can eat if I have to avoid being rude, but I would never ever choose them in a million years.

What can I say, I really like food in all its forms and have no dietary restrictions or allergies at all, shovel it all in me lol.

Day 28 - my favourite genre has to be roguelike deckbuilders, Slay the Spire being my first true love of the genre! They're addictive, I always want to play just oooooone more run!

Day 26 - this is always a toss up between Zero Escape and AI: The Somnium Files, but I'm going to go with Somnium Files today because I've picked ZE for a few things so far in this 30 day run. It just comes together so well, the cast is amazing, it's funny, it's dark, it's everything I love. 🥰

Day 25 - you know what? I'm going to go with Agumon from Digimon Survive. Specifically because when I first met him I was like "oh god what is this creature" and by the end of the game I would have died for the little dude. Love that weird lil guy!

It's Spotify Reckoning Day! 😆 I knew Taylor was going to be my top artist (I am apparently in the top 0.02% of her listeners despite being "not a Swiftie", I listen to music 8 hrs a day at work so I think it's sheer volume lol.)

Best Character Customization - gotta give this to Final Fantasy XIV! Despite me having a love-hate relationship with the game, the customization is top notch and honestly gorgeous. The characters I see running around all look so different and unique! Super cool!

Day 20 - Definitely Dragon Age 2. I remember thinking "...wait, that's it? Really?" No second attempts, no panic after someone died mid-combat, nothing! Just... took it out, and felt very unchallenged. I actually liked the story of DA2, but the combat was entirely disappointing, start to finish.

Day 19 - my favourite game mechanic is definitely small damage to yourself in exchange for large damage to another enemy. I've found this in several games, and it comes up often in roguelike deckbuilders. It's SO satisfying to make it work! And hilarious when you botch it anh and lose, haha.
