No one of importance. North Vancouver. Mostly reading, rarely writing. She/Her
My understanding of it was that was the goal.

The best part of working in accounting. Literally no one has follow up questions ever.

Ha! My 11yo dies a little bit any time my husband says skibidi.

I'm a bit cynical about them, but my kid is being educated in a school system where it is the norm, and I feel like his awareness of and sensitivity to things that I had no idea about can only be net good.

I used to think the flu was like a cold, but then I got it like 20 years ago. It was awful and I've been getting the shot ever since. Like, if you can avoid that in exchange for a bit of arm pain for a day? I don't understand why you wouldn't. They don't even charge you anymore.

Alas, indeed.

My misunderstanding of this headline as something that combined housing with movie theatres really made the rest of the article a disappointment.

Like that first two weeks, I had so much hope for humanity.

Anyway. Get a library card. Cancel things you know no longer serves your world view, really do it and subscribe to newsletters you trust. I feel for this world. This isn’t how it’s supposed to be.

Trans rights are not the rights of a tiny minority, trans rights are everyone’s rights to self-determination, control of our bodies, and a society where opportunity and aesthetics are not restricted by sex assigned at birth

You should support and defend trans people because trans people are people

Basic black Tetley Orange Pekoe with milk in the morning. In the evenings, I have a lovely ginger/mint/fennel blend that President's Choice makes called "Feeling Soothed."

Yes, and what do *we* mean when *we* say “we’ve never been so polarized,” anyway?

What if instead we said “It’s been a long time since the reality of injustice has been made so unavoidably present to otherwise comfortable people”?

Polarization And Strife
We’ve never been less polarized as a country than we are right now. I’ll explain.

I, personally, find the Dog Man books really annoying. I read the first one to my kid when he was 5 and didn't feel like reading it again. He taught himself to read so he could read them. If he reads stuff with some dodgy ideas, we will talk about them, but we don't put limits on the books.
