I like to watch movies and TV a little too much. He/Him. Formerly @sortathatguy elsewhere. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The ensemble of TARTUFFE deserves so much praise for what they do to Molière's farce especially making it timely and so funny for a modern audience. And in the center of it all is André De Shields as the captivating titular character. His playful energy and sheer gravitas just astound.

Instead of apple picking, it's apple posing. Here's to another revolution around the sun!

First time at Carnegie Hall! Here for The Drowsy Chaperone in Concert with this queer ass cast. Hell yeah!

The cast of queer zombie flick QUEENS OF THE DEAD after tonight's screening at #NewFest. They were delightful and the movie was fun. Oh yeah, it was directed by Tina Romero (blonde at the far left) who is, yes, George A. Romero's daughter.

Got to see the first episode of Netflix's new show BOOTS, a gay, coming-of-age story in the Marines, tonight as part of NewFest. Great convo with people from the show afterwards. Can't wait to see the rest of the show at home (it's out this weekend!).

Saw the play PRINCE FAGGOT tonight and I honestly didn't know what to expect. The premise is eyebrow-raising--what if Prince George a decade from now is out and has a boyfriend? But even with its provocative title, concept and nudity, it manages to be tender, earnest and personal. Yay queer art!

First time Emmy winners Jeff Hiller and Cristin Milioti appeared on the 5th season of 30 ROCK just a couple episodes apart! She's a very sexy baby.

What a cast! What a production! So hilarious and an absolute joy. Lovely to see Sandra Oh and Lupita Nyong'o on a stage for the first time. And what can I say about Peter Dinklage? MVP for sure. He needs to do more comedies! Huzzah to all involved.

After more than two years, I'm back at the Delacorte Theater!! The renovations are NOICE. Plus the weather is perfect tonight. Can't wait to see Twelfth Night with this cast.

Just finished watching HAMILTON'S AMERICA documentary at the gorgeous United Palace in preparation for the Sing-Along. Everyone's in high, nostalgic spirits. When LMM came out earlier the roof almost came off by how loud and piercing the cheers were.

Free show at St. John the Divine, Public Works PERICLES! It's wild I've never been here. What a gorgeous cathedral!

Obligatory Grand Canyon selfie! It was a really big hole, y'all!

I'm currently in Vegas and so here's a photo of an inebriated guy being carried by Spider-Man and Superman while flanked by Stitch and a Labubu. Americuh!!

Going on a trip and deciding which book I will read a dozen pages or so before I forget I brought a book on my trip...

Logan Lerman spends 75% of the movie OH, HI! shirtless and tied up. So it was a great movie! But really, it was also a little weird and very funny. Molly Gordon is such a fun leading lady to watch in most anything.

Yes, yes lovely tennis from Sinner and Alcaraz. But can we talk about Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal watching #Wimbledon together AND hanging out with Keira Knightley. Tell me more.

Yes, I haven't seen Anchorman nor Borat. But Moulin Rouge is missing from their so-called "best movies" list, so there you go.

Couldn't go to bed without submitting *my* ballot. BTW it started with a long list of 105 films, which I then painfully narrowed down to 48. And then finally these miraculous 10...

I know there's Real Life Is Shitty news happening atm, but here I am finishing off El Secreto del Río and it was a lovely binge (esp. for Pride). The power of friendship, being/finding yourself, accidental murder, etc. Also Diego Calva looking 🔥. Like this is just a taste in the final episode...

It's almost okay that Diego Calva seemingly hasn't broken through yet, because whenever I watch him in things, it's very, very difficult to focus on anything else. He's just that pretty. Anyways, he's especially distracting in the miniseries El Secreto del Río on Netflix.

The early voting poll location for me is my local library. So I was able to return a book, pick up a new book and vote in one fell swoop! I picked up THE FITFUL SLEEP OF IMMIGRANTS as my next read which probably signals who I voted for. Hint: Not goddamn Cuomo or Adams that's for sure.

This post at the other place from claudioalvesdc.bsky.social from a few days ago still haunts me. Something went awfully wrong for the best show on TV last year to only submit 4 acting nominees for Emmy Awards. I know they weren't likely to get nominated, but it's the principle!

Didn't know what to expect with MY SON'S A QUEER (BUT WHAT CAN YOU DO?) but I laughed a lot. And then cried. Sobbed even. Rob Madge's hilarious & heartfelt play was a needed reminder to be true to yourself and have people who love you for who you are. At the New York City Center just for this wknd!
