I got a pair of Bose QuietComforts with work, and they're definitely quietly comfy! Apparently the noise cancelling works well too, judging by the people throwing things at me

We did a whole rewire and re-plumb so I was quite lucky in that regard - you might need an afternoon with a studfinder that can also detect live wires and copper…
