A faculty review panel, so their decision is both predictable and nonbinding. But still, this is important. Anything that puts A&M's irresponsible decision in the spotlight is good.
Texas A&M Was Wrong to Fire Professor Over Gender Lesson, Panel Rules

The firing put the school at the center of national debates over gender identity and academic freedom. A faculty panel ruled unanimously against the termination.

I don't know how any of us in the humanities are supposed to do our jobs now. Of course, this effects every unit on campus not just the humanities, but it's going to be especially hard for us. How am I supposed to teach history? Gender studies? Anything that I teach/research/write about?
Texas A&M OKs "race and gender ideology" restrictions
Faculty are also prohibited from teaching material inconsistent with approved syllabi. The changes come in response to a recent controversy over gender identity classroom discussions.

Who's teaching a Winter Mini? I'm in denial that Fall grades are due Monday AND it's the first day of my face-to-face class. Better get this batch graded today. 😬
