Book rec: "Slouch: Posture Panic in Modern America" by Beth Linker

This cutter is my favorite for some reason. It feels very versatile. I've used it for santa faces, candy corn, and watermelon shaped cookies previously.

The line up: gingerbread, orange sugar, salted caramel turtle, and almond spritz. I got the recipes from Audrey Dunham's "Vegan Christmas Cookies & Cocoa" cookbook. Chilled the cutout cookies (not in the instructions), and added the zest of a whole orange to the sugar cookies for more zing.

Thanks! And it's never too late to learn to bake. Although baking does sometimes means failing (which I've done a lot of).

Modesty be damned, it tastes AMAZING.

Half are filled with a tiramisu inspired mascarpone cream, the other half have chocolate mascarpone cream.

Between making millionaire's shortbread and chicken katsu curry, my kitchen could have used this feature yesterday. 😂
