It seems like he’s actually been quite good on housing? And I’m unsure of how anyone could say any mayor has “100% control of the police” as long as police unions exist. Open to being wrong but I would love a citation

That does seem bad! The article seems to be behind a paywall now but I think Yglesias clarifies that the specific incident involved violating the law, but often incidents are simply due to different safety standards?
