Alice Wong passed and I am so sad. She was an incredible woman, author and disability activist. I highly recommend her books. Disability Visiblity was the first one I read and it was so impactful and important. I think it's time to give it a reread. RIP Alice

Today's harvest was awesome! It's so rewarding to feed my family with food I have grown. I'm hoping to someday be able to feed my family, friends and neighbors!!

Just got @georgetakei.bsky.social graphic novel about his experience in the internment camps in the US when he was a little boy. Unfortunately so much of the horrible things happening today have happened before. These evil things ARE what the US is and always has been since it was colonized.

First strawberry harvest of the year! Homegrown strawberries ripened on the plant are a million times better than store bought! They are so much sweeter, save me money as well as being something I can share with family, friends and neighbors. Gardens are mutual aid and a great way to resist!!!

My roses are starting to bloom. Spending time in my garden is helping to ground me during these dark times. Reminding me how beautiful life is and how much we have to fight for.

This Mint Chocolate Cookie is my new favorite @benandjerrys.bsky.social flavor. It got me through a hard few days. I'll be stocking up on more this week. Being mindful how I'm spending my money absolutely extends to groceries! Where and how we spend our money is more important than ever!
