Also this very beautiful mask from African masquerade dances, and a delicious lunch at the cafe. All in all a good day!

Ohhhhhh that's a pretty poor technical design. Or maybe it's not intended for an audience that WANTS to do those things? How do you like it otherwise?

Wait what's going on there - you have a controller hooked up to your machine? For what, temperature control?

Woahhh what were some of the back-room books?? Same as today's "controversial" ones?

This sounds really cool, thanks for the recommendation! I've been thinking a lot about rhetoric + how language shapes people's perceptions of reality, this book seems like an apt exploration of those ideas specific to the context of climate change.

In cold waters: Seals wear antenna for science under Antarctic ice
A seal wearing a helmet with an antenna, what has the world come to? You may be right in wondering that, but it's all for the greater good as Japanese...

Wow - thinking big-picture, this is a HUGE shift. Has it ever before in history been possible for a younger generation to interact with as many people from prior generations as it is now?

And what are the social consequences of that??

"fix" maybe isn't the right word, but I'd love to remove the word "nuclear" from "nuclear fusion". It's technically correct - fusion is a nuclear reaction - but the word "nuclear" carries associations from fission that simply don't translate to fusion! So for us in fusion, it presents a PR problem 🙃

I was wondering if it also had to do with the buildings by the river - I was biking perpendicular to the river, down an "alleyway" of buildings, and thus thought they might be funneling the wind extra fast

Thank you!!!!!! 😁😁😁

Adding more thoughts to this - I love this project because it allows me connect with the idea of fusion energy through play, with my own two hands!

We absolutely need more of this kind of thing, which helps broader society connect with new technologies.

Not sure I'll still have the budget to buy it for myself for Christmas in that case 😂
