I was riding my bike by a river today and felt that the wind was stronger the closer I was to the river.
Do rivers interact with wind?? Like, will a river with stronger current create stronger winds?

I had a cool moment at the coffee shop in Woods Hole yesterday morning.
I was chatting with the barista about being on my way to my roommate's PhD defense. I got my coffee and stepped aside. A minute later, I overheard another man chatting with her about being on his way out to "the boat"...
