When you can’t just post about Arsenal all day on main
I think we’re owed some shenanigans this Xmas. Some really silly, high scoring nonsense games. And some boring Arsenal wins.

So Arsenal have accumulated 5.08 npxG in the last three.

And those specific npxG have resulted in 0 goals.

But we have scored 4 goals.

Which were from a combined 0.0 npxG.

I hope this email finds you well.

Saka was an unused sub in the 2020 FA Cup final when he was two months older than Nwaneri is now.

Nwaneri will turn 19 in March and already has more Arsenal appearances (50) than Saka (42) when he turned 19.

Nwaneri has much more competition than Saka had.

There's nothing to be concerned about.

The question for me is not - will our attack improve, it will, we’re going to score more goals. The question is how do we do it while keeping our defensive structure. We don’t have a Haaland. Chance creation carries risk.

It’s important not to get too excited about seeing Kai *screams with glee*

I'm 30 today. I don't really enjoy asking for things but if there's anything I want for the next year or ten, it's to keep writing my silly Arsenal blog, so if you could share or subscribe, it'd mean a lot. It's called Redstory and occasionally worth reading, I hope x

I haven’t watched a lot of Villa during this run. But surely they aren’t normally this bad. Utd by far the better team.

Much better defensively yesterday. That’s our foundation. I’d rather what we had than a 3-2 win.

When we play football we look destructive. Fuck it, let’s just play more football.

That was a win we earned. Should have been a couple more though.

Big Vic needed that

Solid line up. Would love a boring win.
December 20, 2025 at 6:56 PM
I think a full blown brawl is what this match needs.

Yeah that’s a red card. But VVD does worse three times a game and gets away with it #TOTLIV

Don’t get carried away. City have had an easy run of fixtures and at times they‘ve looked dodgy and open. Aim for 90 points. Keep delivering and we’ll get there with something to spare.

There are games you half expect City to drop points in. This isn‘t one of them.

Looking forward to Jake Paul vs Messi at the World Cup.

I dunno if Trump at the MMA, WWE or the incredibly weird spectacle of tonight’s Netflix Paul fight stream truly captures this depressing moment, but you can make the case for any of them.
December 20, 2025 at 5:14 AM
Eurgh. I feel cheap and dirty for watching that. The bread and circus aren’t bread and circusing. Logan Paul in the background doing random stuff for the Gram. Joshua obviously depressed the whole time.

Six years at Arsenal for Mikel Arteta.

He never set out to be decade-spanning manager à la Wenger, but is now the football league’s third longest-serving manager.

How long will he stay? And what might his future hold?

Some thoughts for @theathleticfc.bsky.social

The new @billycarpy.bsky.social is epic, if quite worrying because it points to the importance of connections - and how we keep having to form new ones - and many of the little things Gyokeres is getting wrong billycarpenter.substack.com/p/connections

City fan at work had completely forgotten about the charges. They haven’t gone away. And the Premier league has set a precedent by docking clubs points already.
