Hysterectomy - April 2024
2x Endo Excision
I tried searching but no luck. I just downloaded this app yesterday though so I also don’t really know what I’m doing!

I had to look up what those tubes are because I wasn’t familiar. I’m so sorry 😫😫 that sounds absolutely awful.

Open book here, definitely not rude! I have migraines and IBS but I think they are both very related to my endo.

I recently discovered I’m hypermobile (not full body but in some areas), but don’t think I really meet the criteria for EDS. How has it impacted you?

Ughhh I know. The constipation is the scariest part. I did miralax + stool softeners and then drank prune juice and tried to stay hydrated!

Oh wow that seems pretty short but hopefully that will be enough! Don’t hesitate to ask for more meds if you’re in pain - it’s worth taking them!

Omg and this pain med app, it’s SO helpful and free www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8L9wxQR/

Of course! I was very nervous too. Don’t hesitate to ask other questions, I’m happy to help!!

Also I made this post on TikTok with my recommendations for must-have items www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8L97rpc/ in case it’s helpful!

Yeah I was, and the meds also made me sleepy. I don’t think I watched much TV the first few days. I did spend most of the first 7 weeks post-op in bed (I also had an appendectomy and endo excision so I think my recovery was a bit longer than normal) so I watched a lottt of TV after that.

So glad you were able to get a surgery date. Hoping you have an easy recovery! 🙏🙏

I’m currently 7.5 months out - first few months were pretty rough but I’m feeling SO much better. My pain has really improved.

I’m currently watching We Are Lady Parts on Peacock. I feel like it would be great a great hysterectomy recovery show. And Shrinking Season 2 is on Apple TV!

Good luck with your recovery and just make sure to take it very easy. The first few weeks were pretty rough for me. Feeling a lot better now

Do you have adenomyosis as well as endometriosis? Hysterectomy is only a cure for adeno, not endo. You probably already know this but there’s so much misinformation out there that I felt compelled to ask. Please feel free to DM with any questions! So sorry you’ve been struggling for so long.

Good luck!!! The first couple of weeks were really rough for me, but it gets better! You got this!! I’m 7.5 months out and haven’t felt this good in years

Why hello there! Fellow Swiftie, endo warrior, infertile, crafter, in chronic pain, who loves to rant about social justice and is a huge proponent of therapy.

How’d in go? Highly recommend Lincoln Lawyer! Make sure to take stool softeners…
