Did an egg retrieval in Feb. Still have ovaries, can do another if needed.
Had a #hysterectomy for #adenomyosis in April.

I recently put together an #Endometriosis 101 presentation. I’m not a doctor, this is based on my experience as a patient who has had to advocate for herself over and over again.

I recently put together an #Endometriosis 101 presentation. I’m not a doctor, this is based on my experience as a patient who has had to advocate for herself over and over again.
It includes an overview of the disease, lots of resource recs, and my fave pain relief tools.

On average it takes 7-10 years to get an endo diagnosis.
It took me 17.
It wasn’t for a lack of trying. Hundreds of hours at Kaiser SF’s Center for Pelvic Pain. Pelvic floor physical therapy. Talk therapy. 7 rounds of pelvic floor Botox. A vestibulectomy.
No mention of endo. We have to do better
