Especially when compared to comedy which I've been doing a lot shorter time and feel a much closer connection to a lot of people.

Also: There was no constant throwaway jokes or wry dialogue or winks to camera, it's played incredibly straight, and I think just from modern TV I wasn't expecting that at all. It's entirely sincere in its universe and that's wonderful.

The thing that's surprised me the most from episode one is that I was expecting Mulder to be the aloof, rude genius archetype, but he's incredibly empathetically driven.

There's definitely been a slide back towards nights which are only white male lineups recently, which if you're in a position to book nights you need to push back against because otherwise this is the audience you're cultivating.
