Have to say the lack of press coverage of Joseph Kabila's return to the DRC and his apparent alliance with Paul Kagame and his M23/AFC proxies (who often were Kabila loyalists anyway) is astoundingly bad, at least in English.

Whatever one thinks of Congolese president Felix Tshisekedi, former president Joseph Kabila's decision to return to Goma and apparently back the Rwandan backed M23/AFC rebellion is going to lead to more chaos and violence.

Explications.

It was supposed to be a defining moment, but peace talks between the Congolese government and M23 rebels scheduled for this Wednesday in Doha have been postponed. It would have been the first direct talks since M23 fighters seized eastern DR Congo's two largest cities, Goma and Bukavu. (1/2)

Given the poor state of the roads, it seems like Wazalendo/FARDC hit and run attacks on M23/AFC/Rwandan forces along with other methods that don't seem like they are being used (like placing IEDs on roads) could potentially be effective? Any ideas? I have no military expertise, so who knows...
