Whataboutism is a weak defense, and in no way does that address the point related to the economy. An economic catastrophe will impact all Americans regardless of political affiliation.

I don’t mean to instigate, but reading these comments it seems some people are rooting for this to happen. Shouldn’t we try to win people over on the merits of our values? I know that’s hard, but I would never hope for a Depression style era just for a political party to take power…

Of course, and that is the point of the serenity prayer - that reflection. I don’t feel that the initial post captures that nuance.
