It’s sometimes easy to see when people do bad things, even governments. The Constitution protects our complaints and dissent about this.

In America, speaking freely is a right that matters deeply to us all. So when pundits and politicians vilify people who stand up for their beliefs, I have to ask "Why?" Is this about safety...or control? It's certainly not about patriotism. You don’t defend democracy by silencing it. Speak up!

More “No Kings” protests at the Illinois State Capitol today after Congressional Town Hall for IL-13 a few days ago by @budzinski.house.gov telling voters what’s happening in DC and what she is doing about it.

@indivisible.org Largest 50501 protest here so far. Local reporter est. 1.5k a 2k people by the Illinois State Capitol with speakers, singers and chanting as the rain moved in. One counter agitator drove up and down the street stopping and swerving but was stopped by police.

We all want efficient spending. Sounds good… until you see the math. Trillions in tax cuts going to the rich and increasing the deficit - while slashing healthcare, research, Social Security, etc. Who benefits from this? It doesn’t add up. #TruthBrigade
