House of Dynamite is a well done movie that takes you on a journey but unfortunately doesn't have a destination in the end

I can't imagine who decided that what they did was the best way to end the movie

How exactly are people supposed to fight back against a dictatorship when any comment that contains the word rebellion gets auto-deleted and gets you a ban on Reddit?

I think the US is well past the time for protests, the time of active rebellion is here, this is what people should be organizing

Honestly there really only one pick of the nets that's kind of hard to defend, it's Demin at 8. The rest are like even if they're suboptimal, they're not heinous.

Demin at 8 isn't heinous, but in the context of everyone else they picked, it feels like they could have gone in a different direction
June 26, 2025 at 5:23 AM
The Nets have just gone and cornered the entire market on playmakers who either aren't athletic or aren't shooters or both.

What does it lead to? Well I guess a massive tank effort for the 2026 draft and hoping that one or two of them pops while the other ones just get discarded
27. Nets: Danny Wolf

A center! But also, one that plays like a point guard lol. Wolf is a really fun big and one of the best passers in the class. A way more dynamic big than what they currently have. A solid source of dimes at the center spot

Pretty much. I would have liked one or the other, but not both on the same team, especially not at pick 8. If they didn't like Jakucionis, I would have much rather they picked Maluach at 8 and then picked one of Traore or Demin at 19 if they wanted to go that route
19. Brooklyn: Nolan Traore

They already got Demin, and now they add another lead ball handler. Interesting. I like him, and the assists are nice but this is a weird strategy for the Nets. Would've liked the spot if they hadn't already taken Demin
June 26, 2025 at 2:41 AM
I really really really hope Jakucionis falls to the Nets, or the Nets trade up one or two picks to get him. I seriously would have drafted him at 8, and it's crazy that we are at 16 and he's still there
June 26, 2025 at 2:03 AM
The top 7 unfolded pretty much how I expected, but Demin at 8 is certainly a surprise.

I can't say I like it, but hey, we never know what's going to happen. He deserves a chance to at least prove his worth. But one thing is clear, Demin needs to get his shooting up to par more than anything else

I hate this path of product development where once you gain monopolization, you then actively try to make your product worse so that you can sell people the non-shittified version as an upgrade

They are targeting how to make the experience as bad as possible, so that being a free user is painful

After looking at it briefly, I think my current wishlist for the Nets pick at 8 is as follows:

1. Jakucionis
2. Fears
3. Maluach
4. Tre Johnson
5. Knueppel

Jakucionis seems like a classic guy who will be bumped down due to athleticism; while ignoring his IQ, skills, and feel for the game

Wheel of Time is the latest guilty party to the new way of showing TV

Like, it's a good enough show, but you can't put out 8 episodes every other year, taking a year off, and expect me to remember the story or characters. You're not established enough to do that. No one knows your terminology

I find that every year in the 2020's I'm liking the best picture nominees less and less. Like it's swinging way too much towards these obscure Oscar bait indies, and this year's Emilia Perez nominations are the icing on the cake
One #Oscars voter was audibly angry about ‘DUNE 2’ not being nominated in more categories.

“How has Denis not won four Oscars already? I don’t understand how the studio and, quite frankly, us Oscar voters fuck this up so bad?”

Yellowjackets needs to stop dragging things out. You are not a significant enough show to be dragging out seasons to 1 season every other year, and there's really not enough plot here to go on.

This feels like a one season mini-series that should have been a tight 10-12 episode show
