Nice feedback! In the past, this same young man was subjected to all manner of 'physical management'. Often such methods were used as a shortcut to simply to get him through transitions but our approach means such methods are simply not in our toolbox so we have to find a gentler path.

Ah. ABA* organisation, Ambitious About Autism, has dropped Gregg Wallace as an Ambassador after the recent allegations.

*Yes, they often refer to it as PBS not ABA, but they still hire ABA teams to do ABA techniques on autistic children. It's ABA.

"Be good and I'll make it worth your while." No matter how well supervised their use may be in education or adult care, such systems are a path to unfairness and open the door to abusive practices. Thank you @alfiekohn.bsky.social for all your work around this subject.
