Today's score at the op shop. $60 for the lot. Not in amazing condition, nevertheless a great find!

I've just finished this book. A quick but interesting read about one of history's most interesting figures. Not much is known about Diogenes, and the author makes some attempt to separate the legend surrounding him from what is verifiable and what is likely given the circumstances of the time.

Some new old tech treasure today.

Out and about today, I ran into this handsome fellow.

I adjusted the colours with a neat DOS program called CHGCOLOR. I think it looks sharp.

There's a cool program called CHGCOLOR that can make it look like this - worth a muck about.

Today's op-shop score - a slightly waterlogged copy of Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective Volume 1 on CD-ROM. The CD looks clean enough and it seems to come with newspaper clippings that will provide clues for each case. I don't love FMV games but I couldn't leave it behind.

Running in DOSbox.

Please enjoy the (incomplete) maps I made while playing Earthrise!

Finished 'Earthrise'! Perfect score. I'm not ashamed to admit I used a walkthrough here and there - I don't have the days, weeks or months some of these games need for trial and error. On to the next quest!

Digging though the stacks yields this treasure. I recall picking it up at a car boot sale at my old high school for $5.

Here we go! Inspired by the ever-adventurous @juliaminamata.bsky.social I'm going to tackle this one. We've got faux-retro peripherals, a block of graph paper and a notebook. What more could a guy ask for?

Been after a copy of this one for a while.
