Neither a Steve nor a Vickers or a Mustache
I can't bring myself to watch them this year so I shouldn't talk.
Nevertheless: I gather from social media that they play with better structure than in recent years but just don't have the offensive talent required to be more than a maybe-make-the-playoffs team

I might have Strangelove higher, too! Was tough to decide between that and Clockwork Orange.

My as of this moment Kubrick ranking. Sure of 1 and 2, but not the rest

1. 2001
2. The Shining
3. Clockwork Orange
4. Dr. Strangelove
5. Barry Lyndon
6. Full Metal Jacket
7. Paths of Glory
8. Eyes Wide Shut

Saw Lolita and Spartacus but they were too dated for me

Haven't seen the others

Every time I see Eyes Wide Shut I think "hey, this is better than I remember" but then after a week or two I just go back to not really caring about it. I don't think it's bad, though.

Fifth Element is a great deep cut. When I used to surf cable tv, rather than the internet, I'd stop on that one every time
November 12, 2025 at 4:26 PM
lol. should add Paths of Glory. Wouldn't add Eyes Wide Shut. On the fence with Full Metal Jacket - basic training part is a must see, though, so I'll put it on the list!

Not sure how deep cut to go on this one. Not gonna say stuff like the Godfather (which, if you haven't seen yet, not sure what we're even doing here😜)
November 12, 2025 at 4:04 PM
Yep. IN the NHL, 24 aint a baby. Neither is 23. Laf should be in the middle of his prime years. He'll soon be past the average player's prime. Also, 1OA should be better younger and older than the average player.

Nice! Love my hoodies. Hate to lose them!
November 11, 2025 at 1:12 PM
lol. What I always think of when I think of Bruce Coslet is that the Jets drafted Blair Thomas with like the 3rd overall pick in the draft and Coslet made him a 3rd Down back
November 8, 2025 at 9:09 PM
Bring back Walt Michaels!
November 7, 2025 at 12:27 PM
Right, exactly!
November 7, 2025 at 12:27 PM
Out of all the geezers on the Rangers, Kreider is the only one I wouldn't have called a "fat cat." But he's the guy they scapegoated.
November 7, 2025 at 12:23 PM
Bill Arnsbarger doesn't make the cut?
November 6, 2025 at 12:18 PM
Does he still do Next Whiskey Bar>Let's Go Rangers?
November 5, 2025 at 3:25 PM
He's the best!
November 5, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Lol, let's just go for it all and bring Bill Parcells back!
November 3, 2025 at 9:38 PM
"we can only get them by paying full price at a scratch and dent sale."

Well put!

Plus, players often take quantum leaps forward in their early-to-mid 20s while players often drop off drastically in their early-to-mid 30s. I know I shouldn't get annoyed by other sports fans' opinions but it bugs the crap out of me that Ranger fans clamor for 30+ year old "names" time after time

My bro-in-law is a Dodger fan. Love my bro-in-law and like to see him happy but for some reason it bugs me more thinking about him celebrating back-to-back Dodger victories
November 2, 2025 at 12:42 PM
Yeah, I hate the Dodgers, too (and hate the Yankees and Cardinals - I'm a Met fan 🙃). Still annoyed with last night's game.

I also feel like that early 2000s period was the last gasp for Rock as the dominant popular musical form (maybe have been post-dominance). Looked like a rebirth but it was really a death rattle.
