That’s the thing: DEI is their new fun buzz term. Re-label it, keep pushing, and 90% of the time nobody says anything. Agencies/companies are just too lazy to think outside of the box with this.
If you’re in an institution doing any kind of DEI work, the most important thing to do right now is simply call it something else. Change it to “Community Outreach” & then keep on doing the same important work. When they outlaw Community Outreach rebrand it as “Strategic Partnerships,” rinse/repeat.

I’m a HUGE proponent of public transportation, walking, and accessibility. It ought to be a crime to make a city/country where people NEED a car to live. A car ought to be a nice little bonus, not a make-or-break decision.
