I have never heard of felching meaning anything to do with gerbils, but I’ve been out of the closet queer since 1987. The latter was always called “gerbilling” where I was from. Felching means something completely different but also anally focused.

But it means so much more than “wholly unique”
It literally means New York is a thing that created itself as only itself could create. NYC is self made, born unto itself.
There are a lot of things that are wholly unique, but not all of those are sui generis.
