Count yourself lucky for the battles you don’t have to face and the burdens you don’t have to carry. Leave judgement and criticism behind as much as possible today. ❤️

I absolutely agree with this! It’s so sad that millions don’t.

Despite Trump's corruption and the GOP's enabling, we must remember that WE ARE STRONGER.

We, the people, have the power to demand change and hold our leaders accountable.

We will NOT let #TheCostOfTrump be our Democracy and Freedom.

THIS THIS THIS
A reminder that every small bit of good you do - whether it be putting art into the world, helping a friend or stranger, donating to a good cause, or just listening to someone who needs to vent - offsets all the evil in the world just a little bit. And sometimes that's just what the world needs.

It’s ok to have different viewpoints from your loved ones. Talk through them. Help each other understand one another. You never know when a seed will be planted.

I’m in a place where I can’t really relate to people who aren’t willing to be vulnerable. And I’m not talking about the I want to be the victim type of vulnerability. More like the I can be open, raw, and honest even when I’m in the wrong type shit. It’s ok. We’re all human, it’s understood.

Becoming emotionally intelligent.
It’s not innate.
It takes time.
It takes patience.
With yourself, with others.
We’re not fucked. We just need healing.
I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

My 18 yr old told me I should write a parenting book. Do you the amount of times I’ve doubted myself as a mother? She doesn’t even know how much her suggestion filled my soul. This is what my version of success feels like. ❤️

Aunthood is so underrated! It is easily one of my favorite parts of life . It needs more attention. If you’re doing aunthood right, they confide in you and feel comfortable saying ass in your presence. Also, it’s free therapy. 😎 Where are all my aunties at? Share a moment that’s brought you joy. ❤️

We need to do better for our younger and future generations. I’ve never been so ashamed in my 18 yrs of adulthood. This is SO out of hand and wildly selfish. Can we just agree to set aside our egotistical bs and prioritize THEM?! Damn. & then we have the audacity to question their anxieties! Smh!

As promised, our first theme and text have dropped! In honor of Women's History Month, we're starting with a thought-provoking quote from the incredible Zora Neale Hurston: "There are years that ask questions and years that answer."
