I know we won’t see eye to eye on this, so I’m not going to really justify it. I’m working on lowering my meat consumption, and I’ll be happy to pay for lab-grown when it’s available. To be clear, I’m not anti-vegan/vegetarian, I just can’t make the transition myself. Not yet, anyway.

I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but I do like no or low-meat days (or even weeks).
Anyway, I’ve got a good Dal/Dhal recipe for red lentils, coconut milk, and baby spinach over rice. As far as I can tell it’s vegan and I’d be happy to share it with you. It’s also fairly low-cost.

I think it’s a Long-eared Owl… but yeah. It’s a great experience to see them hunting, gliding, swooping, and diving.
I’ve been lucky enough to get a decent photo of one a few years ago, and was hoping to repeat that this year. They only seem to visit for a short period, from May to early July.

My wife and I are about to take a two week bird-watching trip here in Poland because of Merlin. We started using it a few years ago and have since identified 30 species of birds at or over (flying) our house. We’ve also used it during trips to the US, Spain, etc.

Like others here… I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve had a plastic bag for shopping. Even my weighed veg like onions or apples go into one of a number of lightweight mesh bags I have. Everything else is in reusable tote bags, most of which I’ve had for 5-8 years now.
