i mean it's a narrow rhetorical target audience but afaict the author would be horribly disappointed if the arguments only applied to the 8 billion people currently alive, instead of all possible societies.

(substantively i more or less agree with the slogans in the intro, but am uncomfortable with sloganeering in general, and agnostic about their tactical effectiveness, so, idk)

welp, fair enough. ...admittedly the author's target audience is less 'the broad public' and more, 'fellow 3rd generation anarchists who only interact within that milieu and spend most of their time exhausted by navigating messy situations with abuse survivors and are also a bit rat-adjacent'

yes, that is an important case. so is a sole survivor against the world. lots of other very serious cases & dynamics & risks to weigh too. you read humaniterations.net/2024/06/25/k...? it's wildly unsatisfying, sometimes reckless, but still my go-to reference for less wasteful discussions about this

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.

2/11 The examples are many and varied, from sunfish that jump out of the water for no apparent reason to turtles and bearded dragons that play with dogs (playing ball or tug-of-war with toys).
