A figment of your imagination living in a country off the map
Good to see you back. Who are you supporting for #birdoftheyear? I assume the skua and rockhopper are up there in your picks?

It truly is. God knows how he's twisted their minds as well as provided no schooling, no healthcare, no friends. The little one has spent almost half her life out there and the older one was dragged along on crime sprees and presumably had to go through puberty alone 😭

And seeing he kept plenty of G&Ts and other alcohol in that hellhole camp. Father of the year for sure. Those poor kids living like that through winters in the NZ bush (quite apparent from the extra layers of what might be involved in the suppression order)

Looking at Starmer and Albo in Australia is very depressing. And Hipkins seems very very much in that mould.

Have you looked and seen who the PM is? Anything is possible for incompetent stale pale males it seems...
September 9, 2025 at 9:18 PM
Even if not true, how anyone can support what he's put those poor children through (especially the oldest) is near unbelievable
September 9, 2025 at 9:16 PM
Don't forget that other epitome of manhood, our beloved PM, off on yet another junket, invisible while in NZ
September 9, 2025 at 9:14 PM
Nah, they can stay and fix their own country. I know #notallamericans but the sense of superiority and entitlement many have can stay the fuck away from the Southern Hemisphere

Cop's not been killed, but injured. One of the kids in custody (presumably the eldest) and 2 still in the bush :(

We’ve had luck with refurbished laptops from pb tech (ex business, better specs/construction + warranty) for high school
September 3, 2025 at 5:34 AM
First thought - what a waste. Second though - a Big Ben or Australian (less meat %, generally disgusting) would do it
September 2, 2025 at 11:44 PM
It is. My teen is back at school finally after 2 full weeks off (sickest he’s ever been) and my poor dad has been hit hard, 5 days in now. Keep (or restart) masking folks!

Depends if goes via the South Island or Welly?
August 28, 2025 at 11:07 PM
Thank you - it looks so good and I do love me some blood orange. Will skip this though!

Fuck right off arsehole
August 28, 2025 at 10:31 AM
How fantastic! And what a great cake! Has she made a full recovery from Covid now?
August 22, 2025 at 10:18 AM
Funnily, kids school posted just today that they'd maxed out their solar array (adding the final bits last holiday), great stuff. Such a shame/lost opportunity about the air filters - we had such an opportunity to be world leaders. Instead, let's remove Maori words from readers....

Yeah, birbs are the best. We had rosellas in Sydney that would peck on the window to be let in and then strut through the kitchen. Can't imagine keeping a bird in a cage 😭 I'm jealous of the people overseas who make friends with crows, apparently they're really smart

When I lived in Japan (many moons ago) I'd see sunlight break (and usually have a shot of Baileys) 5 nights out of 7 and then not emerge till dusk....

We're right by the zoo and parks so lots of birb and animal noise here. And multiple pesky piwakawaka who try and boss us round (mostly to get us to open the compost bins I think though they fly inside sometimes)
August 20, 2025 at 1:25 PM
👋some of us are still bopping about! birds (assorted but I guess according to the Education Minister so I won't name them) won't start for another 4 hours or so
August 20, 2025 at 12:50 PM
I reckon we just get rid of all the Chrises. Luxoff, Hipkins and Bishop make a good start, they can all get in the sea as far as I'm concerned
(apologies to any decent Chrises out there)
