@votedinanina.bsky.social serves on the Madison City Council and is frustrated at how kneecapped cities are. So she's running for the WI Assembly. Here she explains how we can address the cost of living crisis, especially housing costs and healthcare costs.

How is this not a violation of Open Meetings Law 😶
More than ten hours after its scheduled start time, the Joint Finance Committee still has not met. Rs are reportedly looking for votes from Dem senators (Nass, Kapenga and Hutton all seem like nay votes as of present).

History of delays: 10 a.m. -> Noon -> 2 p.m. -> 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9:30 p.m..
The Joint Finance Committee is set to vote on UW System funding — alongside seemingly every other remaining state agency — tomorrow.

A look from me at where the UW System has been over the past two years and what's at stake:

At a time when international collaboration is fading and immigrants are increasingly marginalized in public discourse, I’m excited to represent Madison’s Common Council on this visit!

9: Conklin
10: Figueroa Cole
12: Matthews

(things will get more interesting in the general)
