Credit where it's due: A MAGA supporter in NJ came over to Philadelphia (believe me, that is a challenge for them all by itself) not to cause trouble but to find out what the "left environment" really is. That's big, when a young right-winger starts questioning.

Philadelphia sits on the historical homeland of the Lenape along the west bank of the Delaware River. I grew up with street and neighborhood names derived from Lenape: Manayunk (place where we drink) Tulpehocken (land of the turtles), and my favorite - Moyamensing (place of judgment/pigeon poop). 🧵

Last look on just how far this thing has gone. Makes me wonder if JD Vance is going to be taking another, longer vacation....

Well, there goes another alliance.

It's nice that they have a culture of tolerance toward elders, but I'm sure they usually put theirs in a home when it gets this bad.

This suddenly made me think, if you ever want to be sure NOT to see Trump - if you want to know one thing he would never, EVER do (nor Vance, nor most Republicans) - here are the photos for you:

He's over in NJ, across the river from Philadelphia. Never got over the movie.

This suggests to me, at least, that Witkoff is not to show up again and may even be in the doghouse.

Challenge: post your last photo taken in DC to show what a hell-hole it is.

I'm game. (I did straighten it, it was a tiny bit angled.)

Up comes this headline, and Whitney Houston starts singing the theme from The Bodyguard in my head.

Genuine question: Is it just the photo angle, or is this new flagpole crooked?

This is stirring some recollections ... oh yeah, this is a little like how people talked about Nikita Khrushchev.

Up until a few days before he died, this was the way my baby boy lay - and he loved having "the tummy" rubbed.

The great convenience of Philadelphia for marches doesn't get enough attention. Since the Benjamin Franklin Parkway is lined with flags of all nations on both sides, you can actually track people down - eventually - in a sort of world tour.
