One can imagine using the text as a convenient classroom aid in the study of religion, exegesis and #Islam and for Shii believers who are primarily anglophone a useful reference work for which the translator Alexander Khaleeli ought to be congratulated

Muhammad b. Murtada known as Muhsin with the #takhallus #Fayd was born in Kashan in 1007/1598. His grandfather may have been a #Sufi master and may even have been a spiritual director of his father-in-law the famous thinker Mulla Sadra Shirazi (d. 1045/1636)

I remember conversations on supervenience, free will, whether mental states have causal efficacy, and of course consciousness (David Chalmers’ book was out) a real treat learning from a leading #analytic philosopher of the time
