Against my better judgement, I did a political survey.
Of the candidates presented for ca governor, Xavier Becerra was my top choice (with enthusiasm) and Katie Porter (with hesitation) was my second choice.
So now we know who won’t get elected (I’m very good at picking losers).

Traffic on I-5 North near Del Mar is finally moving after an 8+ hour gridlock. Police closed the freeway Friday morning due to a man on the Del Mar Heights Rd overpass. The incident caused miles of backup in both directions, with lanes reopening around 8:15 PM. (CBS8)

Yes to the new Mercury logo/branding (old one is nice too). I like the simplified and sharp look.
The single color “M” with the circle looks so good. They also are keeping the “valley gradient” colors. Hopefully they’ll still keep that on the uniforms (the black one with the gradient is my fave)

I'm happy I grew up in the era of card catalogs and the dewey decimal system. Just walking into the library with a stack of index cards, a pen, and an idea.
I keep thinking the *process* of researching is as important as what you discover.
It forces you to consider what impacts and relates to what you are looking for and the context of what you find impacts its meaning.
Knowledge is not a box of cereal that you can just grab a handful of. #KM
