Can we take a moment to think about our pals in Jamaica, Cuba, and Haiti (as well as surrounding areas). The alerts in those red zones report future wind speeds of 240kmh (alert lists130 knots)
There are many speed comparisons I can make for that but none would truly grasp the force of those winds.
A waether map showing the projected path of a category 5 hurricane Melissa as it approaches Jamaica head on. The map is covered in red polygon warning areas (always respect the polygons). The hurricanes path shows it impacting Cuba after Jamaica. Haiti is also enclosed by red warning polygons but this map shows it will most likely escape a direct hit.

In light of 1k follows, here's my favourite of the moon photos I've taken!
This one is again a mosaic of hundreds of individual photos taken with the #AllaniCarswellObservatory Planewave pw-cdk-1000 1 meter diameter telescope in 2022 during a very inflectional point in my life.
A mosaic of the moon which is nearly fully lit. The different soil colours of the lunar maria are very clear, as are the ejecta trails of various large impacts radiating from the moons various prominent craters. The same photo but with a more somber and dark brightness scaling, this exaggerates the brighter lunar Highlands from the darker lunar maria which seems to fade into the deep black background of space.

According to this digital time of truth from a prior era; robots are considered monsters. Another point of evidence for machines being monsters is how Wii fit treated me as a kid.
The cover of the PS2 game "war of the monsters" depicting a giant monkey and a giant robot fighting as the people in the streets rush away to get a good deal on some ice cream or something. Someone should recreate this with donkey Kong vs. Wii fit, and make it a gamecube game box art.

It's Le moon, the moon is in nearly a half moon phase, but the dark half is still visible. The moon again, only the left half is visible. There's a lot of craters, at least 10 of them. You guessed it! It's the moon and the right hand 3/4 of the disk are visible.

Did a talk last night, I think it went well
It's a poster for a talk I gave last night, the foreground has the outline of the JWST mirror and a picture of me holding a book, and the background is the David Dunlap observatory at night with it's dome open. The title is "JWST and the search for life in unexpected places" the other text is "Astronomy night - David Dunlap observatory" and "Richmond hill" as well as a bunch of other text that is related to the time of the event (the event has passed already)

Me and my spouse are making a video game together, which means I need to brush up on #pixelart . Here's my first attempt...
