Dude, it’s nuts. I think it’s especially hard to explain because Americans don’t really have to “break into” cultural relevance. After living here in Australia, I’ve learned that, no matter how big or populated an island is, breaking into American culture is a huge deal.

Like, every bar and restaurant has a Shohei jersey and a Shohei poster. Your bus driver will have a Shohei bobblehead.
