Experts estimate USAID cuts are leading to 88 deaths PER HOUR. A UN office called these “the deepest funding cuts ever to hit the international humanitarian sector.” If funding isn't resumed, they estimate an additional 10 million cases & 2 million preventable deaths by 2030: tb.impactcounter.com

Just saw Presence in theaters. It was good, but not a horror movie at all. More of a drama movie that’s a tad bit spooky.

Big sign of ambition from #AustinFC. You can imagine a scenario where ownership is tired of paying players/staff to go away and telling Rodo that he has to work with what he has. The fact that they are allowing this buyout is good news for Austin fans hoping for a big offseason.
Sources: Austin FC exercise contract buyout on forward Gyasi Zardes.

The move removes Zardes from the club's roster and salary cap, freeing up flexibility.

Zardes, 33, is the 10th all-time leading scorer in MLS history with 106 regular season goals.

Pleasantly surprised to see that Leroy and Lewis is still a quick lunch option after their star. Great food and the line wasn’t crazy.

Plus, they’re the only good barbecue spot I’ve ever seen open on Mondays

I’m making a rum cake this morning and I thought I had all the ingredients but it turns out I somehow forgot to double check that I had vanilla extract. Time for a quick run to H-E-B.

Poor little Vin-Vin had to go to the vet this morning. It turns out her poor leg’s arthritis has gotten worse :(

We’ve given her some pain and swelling medication and the specialists are looking at her X-Rays. I’ll keep yall up to date.

As we move into Thanksgiving, I just wanted to mention the blessings I’ve received this year and remind myself of the good things in the world:

1. I was able to explore Europe for the first time in my life with my wife on our honeymoon.
2. I had the opportunity to visit my grandma this year.

1. No. Never. Ew, David, ew. No.

2. I have no interest in reading my writing unless I'm writing/editing it. There is so much else to read.

3. I read the thing so many goddamned times while writing and revising. So many. YET STILL I ERR
