This AI study on critical thinking reminds me of Neil Postman’s work. We’ve aquired more knowledge than any time in history. What we’ve collectively forgotten or deleted, including culture or ways of being, can have profound impacts going forward. Especially if critical thinking is left behind.
Microsoft's own research confirms something that was already pretty obvious: relying on a text generating machine to come up with answers erodes critical thinking, and is a method favoured by those who never liked doing critical thinking in the first place

Makes me think of what fantastic film sets might be possible if Ridley Scott gets the green light for Gladiator III. In Lego Veritas.

I dialled down posting the last couple of years. Took a news diet. Jacked back in during the Kamala era. Unplugged immediately after. I’m collecting different types of stories now. Some gathered on small islands, carried back home on kayaks.
