Here's the approximate distance on Google Maps, from the last point that SYR9218 was visible and Al-Dayaa Airport, southwest of Homs. It's about 19km (or a little less than 12 miles for readers in the US, Liberia, and Myanmar).

The 12 Compaq Portables is nice on its own, but the 85 Lincoln Continental is pure style.
