I just posted into the ether for no one to see. Literally no one. Perhaps Bluesky, should they want to be different from X, could have a "Boxing Day" of sorts for those who don't take efforts to build a following at all costs, but still have something to say. Maybe every couple of weeks. @bsky.app

What the United States of America did today was abhorrent. We reduced human livelihood, human cooperation to something merely transactional. We used to be better than that. And the people our action will hurt the most? They have the least ability to impact the transactions. We should be ashamed.

Since January, I haven't always been proud of my vote for Senator Cory Booker. But I am proud of it, and of him, tonight. He stood up and did something. We don't know what spark will start to dissipate the fog of fascism this country has entered -- but this could well be that spark.

Picked up a Canon 5DMk2 for less than $200 (I paid around $3K for one back in 2012). It's a bit more work than more modern cameras, but it's nice to feel a bit back in time.

If you could round up the worst people in the world to build a factory that would produce EVEN WORSE PEOPLE, the outcome would be Elmo Musk's X. Trying to get the PW for an old work acct -- by the time they send the confirmation code, the code has expired. And yeah, they'd also produce Donald Trump.
