Google’s informed me (per the latest OS update no one asked for), my activity is enmeshed within their AI agent Gemini (no one asked for it, it just ‘manifests’). To disable some part of it requires knowledge (digging down), and action on a users part. Then—a reminder that some info is kept anyway.

Seizing an oil tanker, keeping the pirated spoils, incinerating smugglers and real people in 35’ ‘fast boats’ via Hellfire missiles using Gameboy controlled drones— none of this is vaguely about protecting US “health and safety”. Or our sordid interests. It’s bald faced opportunism and distraction.

Self driving, automated cars remains fascinating to many. But when Waymo vehicles blow past school buses as they have, society needs more than an apology and a temporary voluntary recall, saying “hey, no one died yet!!”. It’s too soon for widespread use, even acknowledging the “safety statistics”.
