Looking up some Lady of the Lake classical paintings as inspo for a future Lyra (potentially Lyra/Aymeric) gpose and getting this painting of the Lady of Shalott, which like. Yeah she's also in Arthurian myth (albeit a far more recent iteration stemming from Tennyson) but. Not *the* Lady of the Lake

As for Alexei, Henwen basically views him as her offspring as well, always looking out for him when she's around. It's a lot like Ushio and Botan in Clannad. Halone also is really affectionate with him, and is far more patient with him when he was little than Aymeric had expected

Also I love the inscription on the sword so much. I just wish people did not call it Excalibur. It is not Excalibur. In Arthurian legend the Sword in the Stone and Excalibur are 2 Different Swords. Arthur gets Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake

I didn't post about it at the time but when I was in Montreal I ordered food and paid the dude in cash, I had an extra $100CAD on me that I could not find when I got back to the room. I looked all over and could not find it and assumed I dropped it. Anyway guess what I found in the laundry.

It's hard to explain but it just hits me and possesses me at times when an idea strikes me and I just have to write it out ASAP. I've woken up in the middle of the night with drafts in my head. I've experienced a story I really liked and then knocked out several thousand words in a single sitting.
