Native women in the U.S. have never been fully compensated for labor, despite being the land’s original inhabitants. On Native Women’s Equal Pay Day, we highlight that it would take nearly an extra year for Native American women to earn what white men make in 1 year, with some facing even lower pay.

Hope is a sacred thread that connects us to our ancestors and guides us to a brighter, collective future. Our stories, our survival, our legitimate presence, and physical existence! Should remind us, that even in hard times, our strength and vision endure. Together, we rise. #IndigenousHope

In my understanding, hope, is more than a feeling—it’s a call to action. Native youth and leaders turning hope into action toward change. Proving in the alignment of our hearts and minds, and that when we uplift each other, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.

Grateful to be in community lately. Reminded of how our ancestors carried hope through generations. Today, if we chose, we can continue to carry that same hope, guiding us through challenges and reminding us that the future is ours to create.
