Great piece! Must admit I was glad, after what seems now to be a routine phone consult with remote GP outside of the Practice, that my own GP then decided to seek A&G from Endocrinology. Bingo! Despite wonky bloods "Given her background and that she feels well, stick to same dosage. Don't change." 😁

Oh, no! Early night for you then, to catch such an early flight 😬 What a pain! ☹️

I too like that aspect of the NHS app (graphs). Before definitive treatment it was helpful to see the ups/downs over a period of time of my thyroid/pituitary hormones. I had the numbers, of course, in the test results lists, but seeing them over a period of, say, a year, showed direction of travel 😊

I think so! I'd much rather hear about any bargains he's obtained from the latest car boot sale 😁 Mutual friend told me my mistake was trying to fight this guy with counter-argument. It never works (as I've discovered) with those who have imbibed the Kool-Aid 🙁 If anything, they feed on the drama!

Ah, well I could with the guy we know 🤣 He wouldn't take offence. I'd probably phrase it along the lines of "Just shut the f**k up! Enough of that already! I don't want to hear about your daddy obsession. Boring! Tell me about YOU. What have you been up to?" 😁

Yes, disconcerting! When you like so many qualities about someone and suddenly there's an aspect up front which makes them a stranger. Mutual friend (a man) recently told me the best way to deal with the other guy's outbursts was to tell him to "Shut the f**k up!" Apparently he'll then back down 😁

I'm a person who loves order/a good clear-out but I can't stand a "clinical" home. I love rugs, higgledy-piggledy pictures on walls, beaten up floorboards and loads of books on show. I think I'm a bohemian who keeps a careful eye on the potential to fall into disarray. But dust doesn't bother me 😁

Same. We know a guy who's the last person on earth we'd have predicted to be "Trump inclined". Good looking middle-class guy, London upbringing, in his early 50s, loves animals, hates hunting, bit of a hippie. Green voter if ever you saw one. BUT last few years it's as if he has a Trump *fetish*!

P.S. And when it's the evening six o'clock news on R4, I'll admit that I say the intro "bongs" out loud. I find it a comforting sound and so automatically chime in synch with them 😊

Every time I spend more than 15 mins in the kitchen (so cooking, cleaning) I'll turn on Radio 4. Doesn't matter what's on at the time, it's usually interesting/entertaining. Sometimes I might plug in the tablet and stream a R4 episode of "A Good Read" or a drama. No other station matches the variety
