But here she is, with her lovely smile, so it's not all bad 😊

We stopped off at Falmer Pond and took this pic from the pond bank. The tiny bit of water in the middle is all that's left. Poignant to see the "No Fishing" sign as there certainly will be no fishing. All the fish will be dead ☹️

Almost finished filling up the narrow bookshelves we had delivered today. As this is in a corner of the living room I'm leaving all the tatty old - and foxed - books (and pamphlets, god I hate those, but Mr Shed loves them) in the other rooms. Having this bit of furniture helps a lot tho' 1/2

Does she need to take them at separate times of the day? Mine come as one tablet (Teva brand is what I'm usually given by the local pharmacy) once daily. If your cat is on 75mcg once a day I'd have thought one tablet would be easier than two!

Realised today that I hadn't used the Borrowbox (public) library app in a while. Fearing that I might get kicked off if I left it idle for much longer, despite being a member of our local library, I just downloaded this one

Ordered a new pair of gardening shoes as my old faithfuls are so torn and tatty now that they're becoming dangerous on our sloping (bumpy) ground. I'm getting these from Lakeland Active. Waterproof "muck shoes". Just like my old ones but a different make 🙂

In other news, our first sighting of one of Lopa the vixen's fox cubs. We don't know if Lopa has more than the one cub, given her problematic history in that department, but from the look of her underbelly, she probably does have at least two surviving cubs 🦊

Anyhoo, the next two books lined up for reading are these. The first by the wonderful @fliceverett.bsky.social (I highly recommend this author). l bought both of these in paperback and I can easily slip both into a bag/big coat pocket for train journeys, etc. Perfect! ☺️

No, it was this one 😁

Your parents sound like my kind of people! These are my fave chocs and there's always a good deal at Christmas. Such a good deal usually that I end up with a stack of boxes that obviously don't last very long 😳 I've had to stop tho' as my appreciative consumption of them led to acid reflux 🙁

RIP Richard Chamberlain. Met him over 2 days during filming of a scene at Southwark Cathedral for "The Slipper and the Rose". Me and best mate turning up/hanging out. He was an absolute gentleman and was fun! On day 2, he saw us and gave us a wink. I have pics and here's one from around the corner

Yes, I try not to use glyphosate too much but in some areas it's impossible to dig out bindweed roots without damaging nearby plants, so I spray the bindweed shoots and have a dedicated piece of cardboard to stop spray going where it shouldn't. Here's the White Icicle, leaves now coming through 😊

I saw them supporting Lou Reed in 1973 (the first time I saw Lou). Sadly, I don't remember the Golden Earring set, which I suppose was natural given who I'd bought the ticket to see (and I certainly remember him!). I do recall drums from GE however 🥁

Ah cripes, I mucked that one up! I missed the "Who" in Doctor Who! Never mind. Here's a hippie rock star with a flute. With that much whimsy he could be Doctor Who, I'm sure! 😁

Paint sample has arrived. What a lovely little package, including a paintbrush and a tea bag 😊 The colour may be a bit *too* pale for our walls though with perhaps too much of a lilac tinge, but we shall see!

You've got that lovely big streak that I wish I had! 🤩 Here's mine, complete with messy crown. Mr Shed took the photo outside with his proper camera, hence every pore on my forehead showing up 😡

@fliceverett.bsky.social It's arrived! Really looking forward to it 😊

A new dog-fox not long visited our garden. He was with Lopa, our regular vixen. He retreated a bit further back when we stepped outside (Lopa didn't) but he didn't scoot. Here he is as his little fox superbrain was taking us in, listening to us talk, and keeping an eye on Lopa. He's lovely! 😍

One thing this weather does provide is photos for Mr Shed's "fox in snow" file. Here's Lopa the vixen in our garden today, in her thick winter coat 🦊
