We need to make a better effort at getting boys in K-12 interested in nature and the natural sciences. Part of our problem and why we have MAGA is because of the lack of interest. There are not enough programs that support k-12 boys.

It’s truly baffling to me that so many of these stories focus on “wow big fish” and not “this is an IUCN Red List Critically Endangered species that is extremely physiologically fragile and often does not survive fishing practices like this”

1. Atlantic warm anomalies concentrated Sub-tropics
2. ENSO. neutral/weak-La-Nina Cool pool strength & orientation in question. Warmth off west coast of Central & south America could out compete WCAR/GOM.
3. How cool does the MDR/equator of Atlantic get.
How neg does the IDO get
Average season?

Looking @ MJJ period SSTs show a neutral to cool neutral /weak la Nina, -PDO and Atlantic warmth concentrated in the sub-tropics over the MDR along with a negative -IOD.

not one of the estuaries I am currently working in, it was once the opening of the Merri prior to the water way being altered which has no seagrass. This estuary though water looked like death, had massive amount of birdlife and even had patches of seagrass though the patches didn't look good
