#Bookvember Measuring Up by Lily LaMotte gave me a total nostalgia kick to the days when I watched cooking shows. The main character is a Taiwanese immigrant, but the way she learns how to cook reminded me of when I first learned how to cook.

#Bookvember Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry was the 1st time I ever read a story told specifically through the 1st person POV of a Black child. I recommend this book as something to be read alongside To Kill a Mockingbird b/c it takes place around the same era.

#Tavember This is the biggest difference between Jaeger and Miranda. Miranda is quite sociable, but she only confides her true feelings with those she trusts. Jaeger is not sociable. He's learning how to be empathetic from his companions.
