It's pronounced "Pæshon". Lover of the arts, feminism, knitting, dinosaurs, tea, crosswords, reading, space, European cities, murder mysteries and pyjamas.
This is brilliant. And the lamb in the front of photo #7 is criminally cute.

It’s nice to once in a while be reminded of the kind of power we hold. ☺️💪

Oh, that sounds very inconvenient.

We also use paper, but our are small (A6-ish size) because each party has its own ballot. You just grab a ballot for the party you want to vote for and put that in the envelope (you can pick specific person if you want, just put a check mark by their name).

Thank you! It’s working again! Seems like it was the RSS because I paid my fee in the spring and haven’t changed anything. I have thought about changing apps (since you talked about it) but as I haven’t had any issues until now it hasn’t been prioritised.

Everything we do in public is performative to some extent. If people want to criticise my reading in public that’s their choice (and something performative on their part) - I’m going to choose to do what I enjoy doing.

I’m fairly sure it’d be called VASS or maybe SLIPAD (FRIHET is also a possibility).

Hooray! Saving this (and Wednesday’s episode) for Friday so I can start the weekend in style.

That is SO COOL!

So the UK recognises the state of Palestine but still designates Palestine Action a terrorist group. Because that makes sense.

I quit Duolingo when they fired people and replaced them with AI. I don’t stand for that. And I made the radical decision to go back to uber-basics and borrow textbooks from the library. It’s been great! I’ve learnt more in a few months than I did in two years on the apps.

Was just think that. 😢

My pleasure! Also highly recommend reading Dorothy L. Sayers’ books with Peter Wimsey. I love them all, but Strong Poison and Gaudy Night in particular are amazing (SP really needs to be read before GN, though).

Of course. Not all of them (working on it) but most.

The Murder on the Orient Express is absolutely a great start. I’d also recommend And Then There Were None, The Murder at the Vicarage and The Murder of Roger Ackroyd to get a good idea of her writing (and meeting both Marple and Poirot).

I’m sorry, what? And where exactly are the land-walking sharks? (It’s Australia, isn’t it? It’s always Australia.)

Is that why the zombies are always so slow?🧟

Oooh, I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one of those Classics club totes (because it’s not like I have enough tote bags to last me three lifetimes).
