Engineer. Artist. Dog dad. I love all things music and circuits! I keep it positive.
Seqtrak definitely looks like a lot of fun. I love the golden age of groove boxes and toys we live in

I don't get what it's for? I thought the OG AstroLab could get away with being a preset machine by having a nice big keybed and performance features... personally I don't feel like compact and performance usually mix well.

As a firmware guy who loves C++, you're not wrong

*wriggles around in the dirt*

But when you need direct hardware access and precise timing, C++ is often less cumbersome than C, unless your program is truly tiny. C# is cool but garbage collection makes it inappropriate for a lot of real time apps

And btw, I did adjust my keystep 37's pitch calibration. It was off by over 10mV across one octave, so that's pretty significant. (Roughly +/- 12 cents per octave away from middle C.) Going to experiment with the sound sources now

Yep! Although the main pitch source is a 0-Ctrl, which should drive up to 3 inputs unbuffered. I may experiment with both to see what works better

The patch is sort of a crazy idea I had to control the v/oct pitch of Rings via one controller, and the pitch of my 2 oscillators with another. Then I pass the osc sounds into the Rings audio input, hoping to harmonize beautifully. It sounds awesome when it's in tune!

It's 1 analog osc, 1 digital, and a digital resonator lol. I am definitely getting to the point where I am going to start adjusting trim pots! Probably starting with my Keystep 37 tbh. The range has always been squished on mine 🤷‍♂️

... workflow to how I naturally want to make music. It's been really fun leveling up my DAW skills lately as I work on an EP project! #synthsky #daw #ableton
