Lexington isn’t doing well. I was fully convinced this morning she was going to die from #FIP despite my going $2500 in debt so far to try to save her. She ate a little last night. There might be hope.

My cat Lexington has FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis). There is a cure & it’s only recently legal in the US. It used to be thousands of dollars. Now it will be hundreds + hundreds in vet bills. It will still take me ages to pay it off on my credit card though given my part time work. #cats #fip

Lexington (5 mos, F) and her big sister Winifred Sanderson (2 yrs, F). Sometimes they remember they’re supposed to provide me with emotional support and cuddle me at the same time. Sometimes.

I saw a video on ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions and Originals) which are little trading card sized paintings some artists sell online for a small sum for everyone to become art collectors w/o being priced out. It also encourages impulse paintings. Might give it a go sometime. (This is one of my pieces.)

Introducing…Lexington (Lexi for short). She’s almost 4 months old, and she immediately found Quincy’s favorite solo napping spot in my bedroom on the first day, sniffed it thoroughly, and immediately took a nap there. 🥹 Her middle name is AndConcord. #cats

Her nickname as a young cat was Damn It Quincy. I named her after Quincy Massachusetts, after the town where John Adams was from. She’s been with me since she was a few months old. I don’t know what I’ll do when she’s not there to sleep between my legs Monday night.

She is the best cat I could have ever adopted and Quincy is the best cat name for her. She is intelligent and talkative. She once took down a fly in mid air after my mother promised her $10 if she could get it. She stole a whole rotisserie chicken carcass over the counter and ran away with it once.

My 17 year old cat Quincy is dying of cancer. I have to put her to sleep on Monday. I am devastated and I cannot begin to fathom how to deal with her being gone. She is my baby girl. My favorite. My emotional support cat. I feel like I’m made of lead and I can’t stop crying.

Practicing English paper piecing for fiber arts day at work. It’s really nice to just mindlessly knock out a few hexies while watching tv. Got the batik fabric at Joann’s. Might make this into a quilt when I make three milling more hexagons lol. 🤣
