When I took part in the Portland 2020 protests & then posted about it on FB to explain how out of control the cops were, I thought my former platoon-mates would finally get the point hearing it from a fellow combat vet & grunt. Instead I was almost unanimously derided as a traitor
well, it turns out that 16 weeks of getting the dogshit hazed out of you and jumped into a gang where the most important thing is Do What You Are Told and Never Betray The Gang is more powerful than my fantasy version of American values! back to the ol' drawing board, I guess 😅
