Confiscating jewellery from survivors of a war zone makes you look like a fucking Nazi. And the obscene thing is, that is the intention. It's there to look appropriately harsh. Indecent. Filthy. A moral stain. And no-one of good character would have ever proposed such a thing in the first place.

Labour had everything they could ever want in order to enact meaningful change. An opportunity that could guarantee a successive term in gov’t and provide a platform to truly address the systemic fault lines ripping this country apart.

Sending you best wishes for the chemo and hope you find something delicious to take with you. I've had chemo twice, 18 years apart and was amazed that Oxford now offered a sandwich trolley and biscuits!
