Anyone know what these flowers are? From the side they kind of looked like sweet peas, but they’re not.

Bonus photo of my friend and me standing in front of the poster. We were 20 at the time. I’m wearing a blue blouse, a black skirt, a green puffer jacket, and a huge smile. We had traveled 24 solid hours to get from Dublin to London (last minute trip, no flights available). One of my best life experiences.

Ruby, meanwhile, is attempting to employ camouflage. It’d probably work better if she weren’t so shiny (and my pants weren’t so faded).

I was obsessed with the Little House books when I was small, partly because I liked the clear, easy-to-imagine prose, but more because I have always been fascinated with the ways people made things and did things before electricity etc., and this one in particular has a lot of detail about that.

From middle school through college, I was obsessed with everything this author ever wrote, especially the Weetzie Bat books. I desperately wanted to be her when I grew up. I had this edition of DA and read it till it fell apart. It’s what I asked people to read if they wanted to understand me.

Again, do I need to explain? Anyone who knew me as a kid knew I was obsessed with the entire series. My mom bought me an anthology that included books 1, 2, and 5 when I was in 1st or 2nd grade, and I literally read it to pieces. Imagine my joy when I found out that there were five more books!

This is my favorite book of the 21st century so far. It’s like Erin Morgenstern distilled my dreams into ink and spilled them on the pages.
